Winter Nights
(In iambic pentameter)
My Love lies by my side each night as cold
Entrains upon our home without remorse
Seeking shelter with us from the biting
Winter close yet blocked by sheltering quilts.
While we nest down in loving vestibules
That coldness cannot touch us with its force.
It cannot stay against our love in bed.
